Alina Jenkins is an award winning presenter & broadcaster who has worked extensively across radio & television for the past 13 years.

Her career has progressed rapidly since joining Southampton Hospital Radio (HBA) as a volunteer in 2000. She was picked as finalist in the BBC Talent Scheme & invited to join the team at BBC Radio Solent as a travel presenter. Within six months she was hosting the early breakfast show & shortly after was asked to join BBC South Today as their weather presenter.

After 5 years of broadcasting to hundreds of thousands of viewers every evening, and scooping Best Newcomer at the Royal Television Society Awards, Alina returned to BBC Radio Solent where she has since presented Early Breakfast, the afternoon show, Saturday Brunch & The Good Life.

In 2012 Alina became the news presenter on the flagship breakfast show for BBC Radio Solent and early in 2013 she was invited to join the BBC National Weather team where she presented hundreds of weather forecasts for  BBC 1, the News Channel, Radio 4, 5 Live & the final lunchtime weather bulletin from Broadcasting House, Wood Lane.

Since July 2013 Alina has been presenting the new breakfast show for Dorset on BBC Radio Solent. She is one of only 3 women across 41 BBC regional stations to have their own breakfast show.
